Background

As we journey through life, we create countless meaningful memories. Yet, over time,
even the most precious moments inevitably fade, losing clarity and emotional impact.

Problem

Limited method to archive memories

Traditional journaling methods often lack the sensory richness needed to vividly preserve
personal moments, resulting in memories that become distant and incomplete.

“How might we reimagine journaling
as a vivid, milestone-driven journey
that deepens self-understanding?”

Solution

New Paradigm of Journaling

Offering a visually rich and emotionally engaging  way to capture
life's milestones by adding notes, images,  and other media.

Express your unique story in diverse formats,

Using our all-in-one workspace,

And navigate your entries effortlessly.

Discover

How are memories impacted by adding documentation?

Memory fading is a significant challenge without reinforcement.

Especially for U.S. teenagers and young adults
whose lifestyles involve constant new experiences.

Multi-sensory documentation incorporating such as visuals, text,
and auditory cues shows promise in improving memory retention.

be lost within the first hour

Memory recall can be significantly better when visual elements are used

Iterations

Based on a desire for personalization and decoration,
I explored how to customize their photo entries.

Add voice recording with displays of spoken entries.

Custom auto-written entries with editing contents,
choosing typefaces and colors.

Responding to users’ desire for more varied ways to archive memories,
devising intuitive entry methods to simplify the start of each documentation.

User feedback showed the archive felt cluttered,
so I added clear category tabs and reorganized the layout.
